John R. L. Yost Attorney at Law

John R. L. Yost practices in the areas of business law, civil litigation, real estate, and family law. He also serves as an Assistant Brown County Attorney. He is a member of the Brown County, Ninth Judicial District and Minnesota State Bar Associations. John R. L. Yost graduated from Hutchinson Public High School in 1992. He graduated cum laude from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with an English-Writing degree. He was a tutor at Concordia’s reading/writing center, and an editor/writer for several Concordia College publications. In 1998, he placed first in Concordia’s non-fiction writing contest. He attended Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, WI. During law school, he was a copy editor for the Marquette Intellectual Property Law Review and a participant in the Queensland, Australia International Law summer program. Since graduation he has worked as a judicial law clerk for both District Judge Carol Person in Duluth, Minnesota, and District Judge Roberta Levy in Minneapolis. After clerking, Mr. Yost worked as a reference attorney for West Publishing in Eagan, Minnesota. Mr. Yost was admitted to the Wisconsin State Bar in 1999 and to the Minnesota State Bar in 2000.
